Business Development Manager
Lingo Systems, a division of Language Line Services, specializes in the localization of product documentation, software, on-line applications, and all types of multi-media output, training materials, e-learning solutions, and business systems for global companies.
Major Responsibilities:
- Manage the sales of Lingo Systems within existing and new Language Line Services accounts.
- Deliver all sales planning requirements, including but not limited to call activity, territory management, call planning, presentations, account plan development, etc.
- Research prospect information and competitive intelligence to be used in sales efforts.
- Initiate business relationships with emphasis on business acquisition, growth and retention.
- Create proposals and term contract offers; respond to RFI’s/RFP’s as required.
- Use Contact Management system to document account activity, funnel status, and customer communication.
- Coordinate sales activities with appropriate departments in the UK and the US, in particular marketing, operations, sales and client services.
- Develop strong business relationships with Lingo Systems and Language Line Services personnel.
Qualifications and Skills profile:
- Demonstrated success in direct sales, specifically the acquisition and development of large commercial accounts, operating globally.
- Experience in selling localization and translation services is desirable or sales experience within a B2B services organization.
- Demonstrated ability in sales process, proposal writing, presentations and account implementation.
- Drive and aptitude required to work for a growing business launching new ventures.
- Strong verbal and written skills, good interpersonal skills and organizational abilities.
- Experience working independently in a virtual office environment.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- College degree or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 40% of time.
