Translation Memory

Lingo Systems is committed to translation memory (TM) tools and uses them on every project. Not only are they the single most important factor in reducing localization costs, but they also improve both the consistency and quality of the final deliverable, and usually result in shorter timelines, as well.

At Lingo Systems, TMs are prepared and controlled by our in-house localization engineers. We never outsource this important function because an inaccurate or corrupted TM (whether it is a linguistic corruption or an encoding corruption) can reduce leveraging, adding to the cost to the project and degrading the quality of the translation.

Each Lingo Systems engineer is accomplished in every leading translation memory tool (including Trados^®, Catalyst, Multilizer, SDLX, PowerGlot, Déjà vu, and proprietary tools from Microsoft and Intel). We are equally adept at all of these tools and will be pleased to use whichever one our client requests.

It is Lingo Systems' long-standing policy that the TM from each project always belongs to the client. As such, Lingo Systems provides a TM in whatever format and at whatever intervals our clients specify.
